We’ve had a string of NCF (natural cover fires) that were the aftermath of controlled burns getting well, out-of-control. Fuels, although looking green still, are dried out and ready.
Though you may have checked the burn day status and even after confirming it’s a burn day… please remember to keep an eye on it and to pay attention to weather; especially the wind forecast.
Fortunately we’ve been able to stop them quickly and before exposures have been damaged; thanks to early 911 calls.
